NICK PURDY

PRESIDENT

Nick spent 15 years as the Founding Publisher of award-winning pop culture media company Paste, called “America’s finest music magazine” by the Wall Street Journal and a four-time National Magazine Award nominee.  Nick’s background is in marketing and media, including stints in advertising and also in consulting with Deloitte & Touche.  Nick also founded media consultancy On The Square Media and has worked with various clients including the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and NoiseTrade.com.  Nick has commented numerous times on CNN Headline News as well as in music documentary Before the Music Dies and other music-related TV projects.

ERIC JOHNSON

BREWMASTER

Eric is from Athens, Georgia and could make a living in music, science, horticulture, construction and he actually did own a great pub (Trappeze). Thankfully, he chose beer.

A renowned horticulturalist with 19 years of award-winning all-grain brewing experience, Eric Johnson also founded Trappeze Pub, a beer bar in Athens, Georgia that enjoys a stellar reputation and an A+ rating on BeerAdvocate.com (#2 in Georgia). Eric is also an accomplished musician, sitting in on pedal steel and guitar for numerous acts in the Athens area and continues as host of the PBS show Garden Smart.

SARAH YOUNG

Executive Vice President 

Sarah was born in DC and grew up for a bit in southern Maryland before moving south to Greensboro, North Carolina. She then flew even further south to Atlanta after graduating from UGA in 2006 with her degree in Advertising from the Grady School of Journalism. As Executive Vice President, Sarah is focused on overseeing sales, marketing, strategic partnerships and human resources.

JOSH FRANKS

HEAD BREWER

Josh Franks grew up in Lawrenceville, GA. He studied Biochemistry and Plant Biology at the University of Georgia. After receiving both degrees, he worked in an NMR lab at UGA studying protein structure. Protein structure is cool and all, but beer just kept calling his name. After a brief stint at (the now defunct) Slice and Pint in Emory Village, Josh joined our production team to assist with packaging and scrubbing the floor. Didn’t take long for us to realize that with his background and bubbly personality he was sure to rise to the top! As head brewer, it is Josh’s job to ensure the highest quality beer from our facility fills your glass.

Garrett Arnold

Chief of Operations

Garrett was born and raised in Acworth, GA. He attended Georgia College before transferring to the University of Georgia where he earned a B.S.A. in Food Science and Technology. After college Garrett worked in bar management and the digital marketing industry. However, with a passion and expertise in food, he found his home in craft beer. Garrett loves hiking and exploring, is a huge Atlanta and UGA sports fan (bless his heart), and enjoys quoting mediocre 90’s comedies.

William Baber

Director of Hospitality (West End)

William grew up in Denver, Colorado near the Coors Brewery and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder.  His love of Beer started with Coors Banquet and progressed to Fat Tire in his college days.  He graduated with a Degree in Marketing and a Minor in Hospitality and Resort Tourism.  He made his way to Georgia in 2002 and immersed himself in the Hospitality and Event scene.  Will spent three years with the Dolce Group  (Dolce, Geisha House, Ten Pin Alley) as Director of Special Events.  He also helped lead at the Georgian Terrace Hotel, Proof and Provision, Glenn Hotel and City Winery.  He has a passion for events, throwing parties, great food, wine, cocktails and craft beer.  He resides with his wife, Hannah in The Capital View Neighborhood less than a mile from the West End Brewery.

Myles Ganley

Avondale Taproom General Manager

Myles was born in Southern California, but migrated north to Idaho where he grew up in physical size only. Myles is and has been on numerous boards of directors for multiple non-profit organizations, and is a public speaker in the National Bleeding Disorder community. Myles and his wife are very new to the greater Atlanta area, but are very keen on seeing and enjoying everything this great area has to offer. If it has something to do with being outside, you will see him there.

Amy Savage

Brand Ambassador - Tennessee and North Alabama 

Amy grew up in a small town (not so small anymore) called Irmo, South Carolina. She then lived in Charleston, SC for three years before moving to Nashville which has been her home since 2012. After a string of odd jobs slinging drinks and managing a bar, she found her way to craft beer. Music is a big passion of  hers and you’re likely to find Amy at a music festival, or playing a little guitar and violin!

Evan Baker

Brand Ambassador (Georgia)

Evan was born in Bainbridge, GA and raised in Griffin, GA. He attended college at Georgia College & State University where he studied Marketing. Evan has been in the hospitality/sales industry for over 18 years. Has done it all from serving, cooking, management, menu and restaurant design, and food sales. Working around Georgia as well as Nantucket, Massachusetts, where he feel in love with the beverage side of the industry through creating craft beer and bourbon/whiskey menus for multiple restaurants. You can find Evan doing something outside when not working- camping, backpacking, or watching sports. Evan plays disc golf too and has traveled to play in tournaments around the country. If you found him on a desert island he would either have a bourbon or a Wild Heaven Goodvice in his hand.

Bo Ramos

Brand Ambassador (Georgia)

Bo was born and raised in Lilburn, Georgia. He graduated with a Hospitality Management degree from the University of Mississippi and spent 10 years managing Food and Beverage in stadiums and arenas across the country. Craft beer first came into his life while on a ski trip to Colorado and has been chasing the next great beer since. As a Georgia Brand Ambassador, Bo is responsible for showing up, being cool, and following up. When he's not out selling beer to the people of the great state of Georgia, you can most likely find him out at a concert, sporting events or hanging out with family and friends. Rise up!

Jacob Wages

Brew & Packaging Team

From the small town of DeKalb, Texas, Jacob moved to Georgia right out of school and worked in the Film and Television industry. In 2018 when he joined the Wild Heaven family as a production assistant, and quickly realized his passion for the creativity of brewing, and non-temperature controlled buildings.
