REDBEARD DE GARDE
Back in early 2017, Chef Kevin Gillespie and Brewmaster Eric Johnson brought their mutual love of big flavors and the marriage of food and beer together to create something really special. Together, they brewed a brett-fermented biere de garde brewed with sorghum molasses and aged in bordeaux wine barrels. The sorghum molasses was acquired locally in Georgia by Kevin with the intent of showcasing rich, earthy flavors that could hold up to complex, flavorful food. This extremely limited release of less than 400 bottles and a small amount of draft will be available at the Wild Heaven Beer 8th Anniversary celebration on May 20 in the Wild Heaven Taproom and then until it runs out.
