NoWordsATL Festival is an annual instrumental music festival in its 4th year. Our mission is to spotlight the tremendous talent and diversity of the Atlanta music community.

The Harmonic Continuum is an afro-futuristic band of superstar multi-instrumentalist from the Atlanta improvisation scene. THC combines classical instruments to create jazz, punk, psychedelic and experimental stew of beautiful yet mind-blowing music. Featuring Doc Calico, Billy Fields, Kenito Murray and Kenny Web.

Rasheeda Ali is a Grammy nominated flautist who recently stepped out from the shadow of performing with greats like Jeff Mills and Kebbi Williams expressing next level soaring, cosmic exploration of sound using flute, synth and drum machines. 

Shane Parish is a guitarist, composer, improviser and interpreter. He is the leader of the avant-rock band Ahleuchatistas, a member of the Bill Orcutt Guitar Quartet, and a renowned acoustic soloist. The band achieved huge underground acclaim with their legendary performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts.  In 2024, they released a live album on Palilalia Records called Four Guitars Live, documenting their set at the 2023 Le Guess Who? Festival in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Melodic Monster featuring Ben Garden  is a psychedelic rock band that blends theatre and effects for an unforgettable live show.

Alexandria Smith is an improviser/multimedia artist and trumpeter. Smith is a professor of music at Georgia Tech. and has a long resume of performances and residencies around the world including a residency at the Stone NYC, feature recitals on the Future of New Trumpet (FONT) Festival West, Dartmouth’s Vaughan Recital Series, the VI Semana Internacional de Improvisación in Ensenada, Baja California, and Tulane University just to name a few.

Spacers blend psych/ space rock with Kraut Rock and African Music Influences. Includes members of The Ruination, Bird City, The Mltys , and The Soulphonics.

Jeffrey Butzer is a church organist turned composer and multi-instrumentalist. Jeffrey uses accordion, toy piano, guitar, electric piano, chord organs, glockenspiel, melodica, banjo and other noise makers to create a new world of sound. 

The Atlanta Improvisers Orchestra is a collective of experimental artists who use classical instruments, movement, and sound in spontaneous improvised compositions. Featuring Majid Ariam, Al-Yasha Ilhaam Williams, Priscilla Smith and an ever changing line-up of cutting edge artists.
