THE NORM
When stepbrothers Bryan Ruck and Ryan Bars became family, they realized they had at least one thing in common—music. Born and raised in South Florida, the duo combine their urban roots of hip-hop, rock, and pop to formulate a sound they like to refer to as hip-rock. Drawing comparisons to Twenty One Pilots, Macklemore, and Imagine Dragons, the brothers of The Norm certainly defy the musical “norm.”
Originally from Miami, Rucker's upbringing was steeped in music. His father, the esteemed Steve Rucker, was a member of The Bee Gees band and had the privilege of playing with music legends such as Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, and Jaco Pastorius. This rich musical heritage has undoubtedly influenced Rucker's own musical journey.
Hailing from West Palm Beach, Bars embarked on his musical journey as an audio engineer, honing his skills with a diverse range of producers. From Supa Dups(Eminem, Bruno Mars, Dirty Heads) to Ben Billions(The Weeknd, Rick Ross) and Lou Diaz(FloRida, Pitbull, DJ Khaled), Bars has had the privilege of working with some of the industry's finest, a testament to his talent and versatility.
