For the better part of two decades, the Atlanta, Georgia outfit has pushed the decibel level across two EPs and three albums, marking the narrative with garage primitivism, power soul, and a dangerous integrity that eschews compromise to deliver righteousness with each amplified riff. KARMA KAT

Karma Kat is a local Athens band that blends rock and jazz to create an innovative indie sound. The band is young, but their sound is mature and soulful. The band was created by vocalist Carley Rogers in 2023 who wanted to create a sound that is new and unique to the Athens scene. The group is a multi-instrumentalist and multifaceted blend of creatives. The lead singer is Carley Rogers, lead guitarist is Nick Christian, Aspen David is the drummer, and Juan Ochoa is the bassist. These Kats will rock your socks off! 

EL MATADOR

Born during the pandemic, El Matador is Atlanta’s only wordcore band. El Matador welds the words and visions of the Beats and the French New Wave to a 1980s Southern California hardcore ethos. Atlanta music writer Chad Radford said, “Y’all jam econo.”
