How did Wild Heaven happen? Back in the 90s, future brewmaster Eric was already making mind-blowing beer on his home brewhouse setup (later dubbed The Pearly Gates). Eric was miles ahead of the rest of us, having traveled extensively in northern Europe and especially Belgium. So when he presented (in the early 2000s) a "Belgian Strong Golden Ale" to us, we were blown away, having never tasted anything like it. The 8-9% ABV of it all didn't hurt either.

It was this first experience that showed the kind of great beer Eric would go on to make for Wild Heaven. In fact, a version of that Belgian golden became the first recipe Nick and Eric decided was ready for the market back in 2010, so naturally it was named Invocation. That beer has been with us ever since and anytime we have it available, it sells very quickly. We're going to do a better job of having it on consistently going forward and that starts this Friday, at all locations.

If you've had it, you know, you miss it and you'll be delighted to taste it again. If you haven't, welcome to a beer featuring Belgian aromatic malts add hints of dried fruit, while generous Noble and West Coast hops deliver an earthy spiciness. It finishes semi-dry with lingering tropical fruits and spicy notes from Belgian yeast. It's an all-timer and we'll gather around our firepits Friday to enjoy it!

Garden Beer Season 17 is here - a delicious American stout with green cardamom and ancho chile.

American Stout, which is oddly rare, is that "right down the middle" style - not heavy like an Imperial Stout but a bit more robust than a Dry Irish Stout (like our Smiling Eyes or Guinness). We've got this one in six-packs and on draft at all locations. This beer is timed to launch with the ABG's wildly popular Garden Lights, Holiday Lights extravaganza - a delightful way to kick off the holiday beer season!
