Wild Heaven Beer Announces Ginsberg’s Refresher To Operate New Food Concept at Avondale Location

Renowned Chef Todd Ginsberg Created Two Atlanta Restaurants Featured in the Michelin Guide


New Concept Officially Opens Thursday, May 30 for Lunch

IF YOU CAME BY FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY, YOU GOT A PREVIEW OF OUR BIG NEWS – Wild Heaven Beer proudly announces its original brewery and taproom location is welcoming Ginsberg’s Refresher. This new food concept from Chef Todd Ginsberg (Fred’s Meat & Bread, The General Muir, Bocado, Woods Chapel BBQ) was created especially to complement the lineup of beer, wine and margaritas at Wild Heaven Avondale as well as the casual, patio-oriented vibe of the beloved location. Ginsberg’s Refresher operates adjacent to the Wild Heaven patio and customers will enjoy the convenience of ordering beverages and food in a single transaction.
 
Wild Heaven’s collaboration with Chef Ginsberg comes on the heels of a successful collaboration with Taqueria El Tesoro at our West End location and a similar collaboration planned for our upcoming Toco Hills location with Fox Bros. BBQ. Chef Ginsberg is best known for creating the food programs at The General Muir (Michelin Guide Recommended) and Fred’s Meat & Bread (Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand) and is a multi-time James Beard Award nominee. 
 
Nick Purdy, Wild Heaven President says “We’ve had such a great experience with Alan Raines and the El Tesoro team at West End and are so looking forward to launching with Fox Bros. BBQ at Toco Hills that we asked ourselves how we could bring this way of evolving the modern brewery concept to our original location. We’ve had a great time the past few years hosting pop-ups of up-and-coming chefs and the time had come to do something more permanent. We decided to shoot for the moon and reached out to Chef Todd. We were thrilled when he saw the vision and jumped right in."

Todd Ginsberg had this to say:  “When the opportunity presented itself to be a part of the Wild Heaven story, I couldn't resist. This is the way I love to spend time with family and friends. On a patio, drinking cold beers and eating food that you want a beer to drink with. The menu is food that Atlantans love -- rich in its diversity from some of my travels and just being an Atlantan for the past 25 years. Ginsberg's Refresher is part- a snack shack that you would find by a roadside stand, part casual restaurant, and part sandwich shop. I am looking forward to getting back in the kitchen for a while at Ginsberg's Refresher. Hope to see you there!"
 
Ginsberg’s Refresher’s menu features an array of fun and casual dishes aiming in every case to be elevated and easy to enjoy in the relaxed atmosphere Wild Heaven Avondale is known for. Menu items include a double cheeseburger, an Impossible burger, a fried fish sandwich, a chicken sandwich as well as an array of snacks and appetizers including smoked salmon dip, spicy and numbing chicken wings, oyster sliders, pork and shrimp eggrolls and a glass noodle salad. Additional items will be added and guests can expect seasonal specials.

Ginsberg’s Refresher launches to the public at Wild Heaven Avondale on Thursday, May 30 and will be open daily for lunch (except Mondays) at 11:30am and through dinner daily.

ABOUT TODD GINSBERG
Todd Ginsberg is a 2014 and 2015 James Beard Foundation Semifinalist for Best Chef, Southeast and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America at Hyde Park, New York. He started his career at The Dining Room at The Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta under Joel Antunes and Bruno Menard, led the kitchens at Asher in Roswell, Georgia, and Madison's in Highlands, North Carolina, and spent time at Lucas Carton in Paris and at Alain Ducasse in New York. Upon his return to Atlanta, he worked for the Concentrics Restaurants group, serving as chef at both TAP and Trois.
